Our church believes in putting what Acts 1:8 says
into action today locally, in the states, and
throughout the world, "... be my witnesses in
Jerusalem, and in
Judea and Samaria, and to
the ends of the earth."

Mission Projects

Local Mission Projects:

1.     ÒThe Mission WeekendÓ- First Baptist Church members go out in our community and perform various actions. Last year we:

1)    We helped the ÒSpirit HorseÓ (a non-profit organization that provides therapy for disabled children using horses) by reroofing a building, fixing fences, clearing brush, planting shrubs, and several other location needs.

2)    We helped ÒFriends of the FamilyÓ (a shelter for abused women and their children) by painting rooms, general internal and external repairs, home maintenance and cleaning, and installing new kitchen appliances.

3)    We worked with the City of Lewisville in picking up trash in a large neighborhood.

4)    We provided a backyard bible club for the Village North Mobile Home Park.

* This project takes 3-4 months of design, preparation and enlistment.

* The volunteer commitment is for 2-8 hours on this Saturday.

* March 29, 2008 is the date for our Mission Weekend this year
