The Worship Choir is composed of adults age 18 and up. They lead every week
in morning worship. Members of this group have the option to rehearse on Wednesdays
from 7:30 to 9:00 pm or from 10:00 to 11:30 am in the choir room. The choir joins with the orchestra and cast
members to present the SOUNDS OF CHRISTMAS annually to our church and community
in the second weekend of December.
Rehearsals are much more than simply a time of learning music. They become a time of prayer and worship as we rehearse, as we express care and concern for those in need, and as we are challenged by the text of the music and the Bible. Child care is available for rehearsals provided by our excellent Preschool Ministry and child care staff which frees the choir members up to focus on the rehearsal experience.
The fellowship in this ministry area is extremely rich. The choir is divided into groups which are under the leadership of care group leaders. That leader strives to minister and encourage each individual in his group and help in the area of accountability.
There are no auditions required for membership in this group. All soloists and ensemble members must be faithful members of this ministry.

First Baptist utilizes mixed adult ensembles as needed. These groups function
on a short-term basis, by invitation from the director.
