The Best Question Ever
…a revolutionary approach to decision making

by Andy Stanley

Who doesn’t want to know what the best question is? Andy, son of the famous pastor, Charles Stanley has made a name for himself as the pastor of a large church in Georgia and he has authored several books. I read this book on a plane trip to the Carolinas—this quick read intrigued me. Stanley’s writing style allows the reader to really resonate with him. His examples are universal enough to be fitting for most readers.

In his introduction, Stanley writes “your greatest regret could have been avoided had you asked the Best Question Ever and then acted on your conclusion.” Using scripture as his support system, Stanley outlines several parts to the “best question” we should ask ourselves before acting on life situations…should I take this job? Should I date this person? Should I click on this site on the internet? Should I commit my time to this project?

If you’re like me, you will read his scenarios and say to yourself, “I wish I could go back in time and ask myself the ‘question’ so I could have avoided some pitfalls”. While the audience is broad, I would think those readers in early adulthood will glean the most from this book, however, I am quite sure no one is beyond the scope of difficult decisions in their life.

It is a fun read that will solidify and remind you of God’s instructions about how best to manage the life and circumstances we have on this earth.
