Growth Groups: Wednesday Nights

Jesus chose to share life closely with 12 disciples. He walked with them. Prayed with them. Taught them. Ate with them. Through the time they shared together, they must have formed some pretty tight bonds. We desire to follow Jesus’ lead by providing small groups for you to walk with on your journey with Christ. A bunch of young adults volunteer their time to be your leaders and to share their learnings and struggles with you along the way. These groups assemble on Wednesday nights from 6:00pm till 7:30pm in room 200.

On the last Wednesday of every month, we meet all together for what we call “the Chunk” for skits, teaching, worship and fellowship.

Summer Nites: Wednesday Nights

For the summer, we shift our times a little. We meet from 6:00pm-7:00pm here at the church in room #200. Then after that, we all go eat somewhere. We ask that you eith pick your student up at 7:00pm here at the church, or pick them up NO LATER THAN 8:00pm at the restaurant where we are eating. We will do this for the summer (meeting all together) and then growth groups will resume in the fall.

Barbarians

Do you want to be seriously challenged in your relationship with Christ?  Do you want to know more about not only reading the Bible, but actually studying the ancient words?  Does God desire you to be a leader among your peers?  Do you want to put your faith into action?  If so, you are a Barbarian.  You stand out in a crowd.  You practice dying to yourself daily in order to live for Christ.  Barbarians meet on Sunday nights at Mikel’s house.  If you’re interested in the Barbarian Life—email mporter@fbclewisville.org

"Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone."   Colossians 4:6

Student Choirs

We have two student choirs that learn and lead worship throughout the year, serve with music in local nursing homes and detention centers, and every summer, go on a mission trip to take the love of Christ to others.  Our choirs meet at 5:30pm on Sundays. Grades 9 through 12 in the choir room and grades 7 through 8 in room 243.

TOM aka "Teen Mom"

Already a mom or a child on the way

We meet Wednesdays from 6:00pm - 7:00pm in Portable 3

Childcare is provided

If you are a teen and a mom (a TOM), we know your life is absolutely crazy--between school, being a mother, and having a social life--that doesn't leave much time for you.

Here at FBC Lewisville, we want to provide some space JUST FOR YOU.  To relax, to be pampered, to learn, and to hang out with other "TOMs".  We know God didn't ever mean for us to walk this road alone, so lets do it together.  Know that we love you already and can't wait to meet you and your sweet child.  Feel free to bring a friend or two--the more the merrier.

Let's celebrate life together!

Student Curriculum

Our students walk through Student Life Curriculum each year.  It is a systematic plan that takes our students completely through God's Word by the time they graduate.

Voices of 2.10:

"I have grown closer to all of my friends and to God in growth Groups."

--"Devin Loftis" (12th grade)

" My favorite thing about growth groups is that it helps you stay connected with your church friends who, to me, are my best friends."

--"Garrett Tittle" (10th grade)

"I love Growth Groups because it helps me refocus in the middle of the week when things are often hectic. Growth Groups allows me to come to a place where all of my restlessness, busy tasks, and worries are put behind me and allow me to be at peace and worship. It's so refreshing! I'm also surrounded by people that uplift me and help me whenever I need it. What's not to love?  Barbarians is a group that constantly challenges and pushes me to live as Jesus lived. the members keep each other accountable for their actions (or lack of action) and encourage one another to step outside of their comfort zones for the sake of the Gospel. This is incredibly invaluable to me and one of the many reasons why I love Barbarians! It takes a lot of dedication, but the rewards are many!

--"Lauren Hawkins" (12th grade)

"Barbarians is unlike any experience I've ever been involved in. There's something open and real about it. I can always depend on the group to have advice or just let me rattle on about the things that are tough and confusing in my life. It's like a second family to me."

--"Devin McKinney" (12th grade)
